Joe Starita, aside from fronting the infinitely under-appreciated Unique Chique for years, was a founding member of THIN HYMNS. He played cello, guitar, bass and sang in the early live shows. Sadly, we never did much recording together. Live versions of things here and there. Joe played a beautiful cello part on “inland” which ended up on the Logic & Theory EP almost two years after it was recorded. I learned a lot from Joe about music and life. He continues to be a huge influence on me as an incredible songwriter and one of the best musicians i’ve ever known. I couldn’t be more excited about hearing new music from Joe and his new band featuring Unique Chique bassist Ernie Lohrer and James Beesley! What i’ve heard so far is incredible.
